Psychodynamic psychotherapy
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a talk therapy exploring how unconscious patterns, past experiences (especially childhood), and unresolved conflicts shape current feelings, behaviors, and relationships, aiming for deep insight and long-lasting change by bringing hidden emotions and defense mechanisms into conscious awareness, often using the therapist-client relationship as a key tool for understanding and improving interpersonal patterns.
Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is a trauma therapy that targets the brainstem's primal shock response, working with the body's early physical reactions (like face/neck tension) to process overwhelming memories before emotions or thoughts, allowing for gentle processing of trauma and attachment wounds. Unlike other therapies, Deep Brain Reorienting works to resolve traumatic shock, opening new pathways for healing from trauma and PTSD. DBR-AT is an interweave with the Alexander Technique (somatic based) that provides additional tools for working with complex traumas.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment that is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories.
EMDR helps people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences by processing painful memories using bilateral stimulation (like eye movements, tapping, or sounds) while recalling the memory, reducing its emotional intensity and enabling healthier processing, similar to REM sleep. It's recognized for treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other issues by helping the brain reprocess unprocessed traumatic memories, leading to faster symptom relief and positive belief changes Read more here
Ego State Therapy and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy
Ego State Therapy and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy are powerful, integrated approaches that view the personality as composed of different "parts" or ego states, working to access the subconscious mind to resolve conflicts, heal trauma, and foster integration, using indirect suggestions, storytelling (Ericksonian), and hypnotic trances to help individuals access their own inner resources for positive change, especially for PTSD, psychosomatic issues, and divided selves
Imago Relationship therapy (IRT)
Imago Relationship therapy (IRT) is a couples counseling method that helps partners heal childhood wounds by transforming conflict into growth, using structured communication like mirroring, validating, and empathising to build deeper connection and understanding, rooted in the idea that we unconsciously choose partners who mirror our early caregivers. IRT teaches partners to recognize their "imago" (unconscious image of familiar love) and address triggers, moving from reactive conflict to a more conscious, empathetic relationship.
