Approach to therapy
My style is collaborative, warm and guided by your pace and comfort, so therapy feels manageable rather than overwhelming. Together we pay close attention to your body, emotions and relationships, making room for both the painful and the resilient parts of your experience.
Alongside trauma, I support people navigating grief and loss, depression and anxiety, stress‑related difficulties, chronic pain and fatigue, adjustment and acute stress, as well as recurring relationship patterns that feel hard to shift.
At the heart of my work is Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) and DBR‑AT, which help us access and process deep survival responses and attachment wounds held in subcortical parts of the brain and body, often without needing to go into the story in great detail. I weave DBR and DBR‑AT with a range of evidence‑based approaches – including somatic and body‑based practices, parts‑based work, and mindfulness‑ and compassion‑focused strategies – to support your nervous system in finding greater stability, regulation and connection.
I am committed to LGBTQIA+‑affirming, neurodivergent‑aware and a culturally sensitive practice, and welcome clients of all gender identities, sexual orientations, cultures, religions, abilities and neurotypes.
I offer therapy in both English and Afrikaans, and actively invite your feedback so we can shape a space that feels as safe, respectful and empowering as possible for you.
